Step inside the Toorak home of designer Lauren Tarrant, where quality materials and considered finishes make for an elegant affair.
Melbourne-based studio Lauren Tarrant Design specialise in residential projects, making their mark on some of Melbourne’s most prestigious neighbourhoods with both their renovations and new builds.
For their latest project, lead designer Lauren Tarrant has turned her attention to her own home, affirming the studio’s overall focus on refined interiors. By selecting quality natural stone and herringbone oak, luxurious finishes and furnishings within each space, Lauren has created a stately atmosphere within.

The grand dining space features the Howard Table by Jean-Marie Massaud for Poliform and a Lumen Centre Italia suspension lamp.
Lauren Tarrant created timeless foundations within her home by layering stone, French Oak herringbone floors, linen sheer curtains and Natural White Dulux paint throughout. In the kitchen Lauren selected Lorde White stone from CDK Stone, with a custom island by Stone Elegance. Miele and Fisher & Paykel appliances are seamlessly concealed in the timber kitchen cabinetry by ShadowLine Joinery, complemented by the Osso Stool by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Mattiazzi.
The adjacent dining space reveals the same strong palette with hints of greenery, upholstered Cassina dining chairs, the Howard Table by Jean-Marie Massaud for Poliform and a Lumen Centre Italia suspension lamp. Further lighting highlights within the home include the Tube Chandelier by Michael Anastassiades and the Nuura wall lamp.
In the powder room and ensuite, Lauren selected Calacatta marble from CDK Stone and Brodware’s Yakoto range in Aged Iron finish to adhere to the overall neutral palette. But the stone doesn’t stop here – it anchors the fireplace, with Bianco Carrara marble from CDK Stone.
Lauren’s Toorak Home manifests how a dedication to materiality can elevate a home to be reflective of its distinguished locale.

In the sitting room Lauren has included the Tube Chandelier by Michael Amastassiades and Minotti furniture.

The fireplace is Bianco Carrara marble from CDK Stone.
