We’re celebrating 20 years of Twenty Seven Names, a brand launched by old school-friends Rachel Easting and Anjali Burnett, initially in a uni flat in Ōtepoti/Dunedin. The name pays exacting homage to the 27 people who helped them on the journey, and they are just as loyal to the local. The latest collection, Look No Further, does not deviate from their made-in-Aotearoa pledge. Their commitment to colour and playful tailoring hasn’t changed either, as illustrated in the apple green Freedom jacket, a joyful swing coat with full gathered sleeves and an exaggerated collar. Traces of mid-century styling are evident in the short, boxy Debut jacket. Paired with a high-waisted Sophomore mini skirt (again in green), you’ll be well-suited for the office — and any after-hours occasion. That the pieces are all made from surplus fabric stock puts an even greener spin on things. Look out for the collection from August 11.
