Babaá Knitwear
Babaá, a family-run Spanish knitwear label that prides itself on artisanal design and sustainable production practices, by sourcing only from local providers and by supporting the local textile industry.
The knits are wonderfully oversized and loose fitting for that extra bit of comfort.
The silhouettes are timeless and the colors are beautifully neutral and perfect.
Not only that, the wool is sustainably harvested from sheep in Northern Spain, whose shepherds adhere to a process called Transhumance, an age old practice of humane pastoralism.
And the cotton is harvested from Southern Spain and follows EU’s environmental regulations avoiding water waste and excessive use of pesticides.
Even the eco-friendly dyeing process has been a labour intensive process. It’s amazing to see the amount of thought and careful consideration invested in their process, from beginning to end.
Babaá, amazing.
