I first got to really meet the family behind the brand in july 2013 when I was part of a Blogger team and we were invited by several brands for a DesignCPH blog tour in anticipation of working together with DesignTrade. In a Copenhagen backyard in Islands Brygge, Vipp has transformed a 100-year-old pencil factory into a social dining room dedicated to sharpening your senses. Safeguarding the original factory features of the space while igniting an intimate and homey feeling was the brief given to interior designer, Julie Cloos Mølsgaard, who led the pencil in the transformation.
Welcome to the first ‘Vipp Supper Club’ venue
The first Vipp Supper Club venue unfolds a curious mix of food, art, design, architecture, and music. Talented chefs from around the world will serve fabulous food on the plate and food for thought in the conversation. Talented musicians are invited to play a tune. And renowned designers and artists sharpened up the venue with a Vipp kitchen and furniture. Containing a gallery vibe, the space is curated with art objects from Galleri Nils Stærk, Etage Projects, 2112, and others.
