“The colors of that sunset were the jumping-off point for Simkhai’s diverse collection. At its best, the clothing offered a spirit of escapism found in dip-dyed cashmere and silk wrap tops, pleated skirts, and a lovely rose slip dress with tangerine lace insets.”

“What Simkhai excels at is making garments that show off their wearer without being exploitative—two languid satin bias dresses in vitamin-C orange and blush with an extra sash or slash detail were good examples.”
