Following on from 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen I stayed on a few extra nights to further explore the beautiful city. Wanting to stay somewhere central where I could catch up on a bit of work, Hotel SP34 had been noted on my must-do list long ago. Located in the heart of Copenhagen in the Latin Quarter, the boutique hotel by Brøchner Hotels exceeded my expectations and I loved every minute of my stay. The beautiful interior by Danish architect and designer Morten Hedegaard is clean and understated but also warm and cosy. I had a gorgeous room where I could bask in the sunlight that streamed in through the row of windows. With the sun setting at around 10pm during my stay, I felt like time was moving at a slower pace which was nice following on from the busy 3daysofdesgn press tour! I loved the soothing grey palette, crisp white linens and moulded wood and caramel leather headboards which are in keeping with the classic Danish furniture from the 1950s. The playful yellow pendant light and bedside lights by Swedish company RUBN are another favourite feature.

Heading downstairs to Väkst (one of the hotel’s three restaurants) for their organic breakfast each morning was an absolute joy. Amazing food, a gorgeous ‘secret garden’ style interior and incredible service, I had the pleasure of dining there for a press dinner on my first night in Copenhagen and returned for my final dinner before I checked out the next day.

Warm and intimate, the lobby features elegant furniture including the Heritage armchairs and CH37 dining chairs from Carl Hansen. The incredible artwork currently on display, an intriguing exhibition ‘Tales’ by the danish artist Louise Simony, is so striking. If my room wasn’t so divine I would’ve hung out here more. Did I mention wine hour and the rooftop terrace? So many great features, I also love the bike – a nod to Copenhagen’s favourite mode of transport!
