We all know that the our Nordic friends get interior design. What impresses me the most though is how they design small spaces. Their interior design always combines style and practicality, no matter how small a space. Today’s home tour is all about a small Nordic studio apartment that is warm, functional and so stylish even though it measures just 380 sq ft (36 sqm).
This apartment is a studio in terms of size, even though it does have a separate teeny bed area. The living room and kitchen is one open bright, white space. The architectural details like the high ceilings, the parquet flooring and the large curved windows add a lot of character to this space.
Starting with the main room which is the open plan living, dining and kitchen area, you can see they’ve created distinct zones for each space yet the whole room comes together as one. While it’s mainly white, there is so much warmth added through all the warm wood as well as the use of texture and lots of beautiful decor details. I especially love the black accents that really pop against the white and beige.
Have you spotted the IKEA hack in the living room are? Those white cabinets are
The only other space in this Nordic studio apartment is the bedroom. I’m calling it a bedroom but it’s more of a bed area as it’s small and narrow. However once again,
There really isn’t much space for anything in this bedroom but they’ve still created a stylish space with the few details they have included. The sculptural table light on the window sill as well as the concrete sculpture and the pendant light all add beautiful touches to this bedroom.
