bottle of face wash styled with bathroom productsAs I’m getting older, I’m trying to be a little more diligent with my skincare routine. I’m also trying to use more natural products, especially ones that I’m putting on my skin. Since making my own beauty products has become one of my favorite DIYs, I thought I’d try making my own foaming face wash! This face wash is really easy to make, smells great, and leaves your skin feeling fresh & clean.
I’ll admit, I don’t wash my face every single night (only if I wore makeup that day). The nights that I do wash though, I wanted something that would work well at quickly cleaning my face and not add a lot of time to my night routine. The ingredients in this face wash not only cleanse your skin, they also help improve your overall skin health by moisturizing and soothing your skin.bottle of face wash on wood bathtub trayI always use Young Living essential oils – it’s really important to use high quality oils on your skin! You can read more about that here. The recipe below is a basic recipe – it includes just 2 essential oils, frankincense and lavender (along with other skin boosting ingredients). Both are great for skin. Lavender is gentle, nourishing and soothing to skin. Frankincense is used in a lot of anti-aging products and can leave your skin glowing. Both these oils are included in the starter kit – so if you only have that, you can make this face wash.
Some of you have asked questions about oils and getting started with them and for those of you that have been wanting to jump in, right now if you order your starter kit through me (which includes a diffuser + 12 oils + a whole lot of other goodies), you’ll get $20 off (from me, not through the site); and I’ll send you this bottle with the label, so you’ll be ready to make your own foaming face wash! It’s only good through the end of August, so don’t wait! Click here for more details or shoot me an email.
There’s quite a few other oils that are good for your skin, that you can add to this recipe or mix & match to your preference. Tea tree is a good one to help reduce the appearance of blemishes. Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood can also help reduce the appearance of blemishes and can help give you brighter, more youthful-appearing skin (I add about 3 drops of this to the recipe below). Geranium and Patchouli are also good ones for your skin. You can google which essential oils are best for your skincare needs, and add those to the recipe below, or switch & mix any combination of essential oils.bottle of face wash styled with bathroom productsbathroom sink with green stem on it Foaming Face Wash
