We would love to spend a week in Japan to study sashiko embroidery.  Been finding lots of merchandise using this embellishment.  The coin purses above are the creations of company branded, Collect-G.  The unnamed artist/artists started making the coin purses in 2010.  They worked primarily on event openings and consignment sales but has recently been focusing on web sales. 

The purses can be purchased on Japanese sites Minne, Base, Creema and Iichi. You can see more of their designs on their website (in Japanese) and on Instagram.
