Plaini and Karahalios Architects renovated the Arches Boutique Hotel in Santorini, Greece. Santorini has always been a bridge of cultures, bringing together different elements and introducing new unique forms.
The building itself, situated in the center of Oia, serves as a paradigm of co-esxistance between the traditional Cycladic white forms and the array of west-influenced arches, echoing the utopian landscapes of Giorgio De Chirico’s paintings.
The interiors of the rooms are decorated with antique furniture from the late 19th to the first half of the 20th century.
