Dans le sud-est du Mexique,AS Arquitectura et R79 ont dessiné un hôtel sur les vestiges d’une ancienne Hacienda, en gardant inchangée,les ruines, dans le respect d’un passé oublié et de ses beautés, en réalisant des interventions subtiles sur l’existant. Une démarche inspirée à la fois par les théories de la restauration de Cesare Brandi, prônant des rénovations légères sans essayer de recréer des lieux parfaits tels qu’à l’origine de la construction, et le principe japonais du Wabi-sabi, qui célèbre la beauté des choses imparfaites .Photos : David Cervera
A Mexican hacienda
In the south-east of Mexico, AS Arquitectura and R79 drew a hotel on the remains of an old hacienda, keeping unchanged, the ruins, respecting a forgotten past and its beauties, carrying out subtle interventions on the existing. An approach inspired both by the restoration theories of Cesare Brandi, advocating minor renovations without trying to recreate perfect places such as at the origin of the construction, and the Japanese principle of the Wabi-sabi, which celebrates the beauty of imperfect things.
