Liv & Dom are identical twin illustrators and ceramicists who, a few years ago, introduced nude incense holders. Nude as in naked figures who are equipped to hold the incense sticks in their below-the-belt bits. Now, I’m not an incense person (I’m more of a candle gal), but I find myself pining over their custom creations. The sisters incorporate their clients’ favorite pairs of shoes, pets, birthmarks, and tattoos into the design of the figures. This allows them to keep their ceramics feeling fresh without totally changing their concept. It’s one of the joys that come with doing custom work—clients can think of great ideas you might’ve never thought of yourself.
