Illustrator Aurélia Durand creates digital illustrations celebrating color and shapes. (You might know her work from the best-selling book This Book is Anti-Racist!) On her Instagram, she recently shared a series she created for Lonely Whale, an NGO based in the U.S. which works to protect the oceans.
Each month, they have horoscope readings that blend your “astrology attributes with tips for ocean activism.” Aurélia illustrated the astrological signs using her signature style, and I love her interpretation. Each image is instantly recognizable as its sign, and if you look closely, you’ll see how Aurélia has woven in symbols of the ocean as well as ways to protect it.
