Based in Montréal, Canada, the Lambert & Fils atelier explores “the shape of light”, teaming hands-on craftedness with new technologies. The Ipoli 07 floor lamp is part of a collection that injects a sense of playfulness into utilitarian lighting. A swivelling head on a slender frame makes it supremely functional, but it also asserts itself as a visual focal point. Made of tumbled or powdercoated aluminium, the body is robust yet streamlined. A frosted opal lens softens the light so it can adapt equally to the task or bring a quiet ambience to a corner of a room. Although it’s available in considered colours that will slot into any interior (black, beige and classic aluminium), we particularly like the poppy-red version for its uplifting personality that leans into our emerging colour confidence.
