One of my regular spots during 3 Days of Design is the beautiful Rue Verte. Every year when I am in Copenhagen, I really look forward to the presentation, which they usually set up especially for 3 Days of Design. But of course, Rue Verte is a place you can visit all year round in the center of Copenhagen.
A New Interior Reflecting Three Decades of Curating
For this year’s 3daysofdesign, Rue Verte presents a newly transformed interior reflecting more than three decades of bringing together art, design, vintage pieces and collected objects. Rather than separating disciplines, periods or categories, the exhibition explored the dialogue that emerges when contemporary works, vintage finds and architectural elements are brought together within a carefully composed setting.
This year’s presentation includes dedicated displays by Shuhei Fukuda, Jojo Corväiá, Studio Henry Wilson and introduces works by Karen Verlinden, alongside a curated salon wall featuring contemporary and vintage works, architectural elements by Jean Prouvé, rare books and selected lighting. The exhibition also includes selected works and collections from long term collaborators such as Bieke Casteleyn, Boldizar Senteski, Ceccotti Collezioni, Collection Particulière, CTO Lighting, Delcourt Collection, Entrelacs Creation, Koen Van Guijze, Maja Karen, Meridiani, Morten Angelo, Natural Material Studio, Ochre, Overgaard & Dyrman, Simonsen & Czechura, Toogood and Vogel Studio, among others.
Rue Verte was founded in 1994 by Michala Jessen and brings together a design studio, store and gallery under one roof. The space showcases a carefully curated selection of unique objects, vintage finds and artworks alongside high-end furnishings by some of the world’s foremost designers.
