Christmas advent calendar for kids

printable advent calendar

Every year I make an advent calendar and this year will be no different.  It’s one of my favourite Christmas crafts and it’s one of the most popular features on this blog.  But I get that not everyone has the time to make their own so this year I’ve got the cutest printable advent calendar for you.

This printable advent calendar has 32 of the cutest illustrations and you get both a numbered version and an activity version in the printable pack.  Activities include fun things that kids love doing around the festive season.  But I know that it’s not always possible to make time for these festive activities so you can use the numbered version instead and give little chocolates or gifts.  Or you can even use a mix of the two maybe doing an activity at the weekends and giving little gifts in the week.

Here are the details of exactly what it includes:

32 cards with activities (includes 24 cards + 8 bonus cards so you have a wider choice of activities)
25 cards numbered 1-25 (for those who prefer giving little gifts/chocolates rather than doing activities)

There are lots of ways you can use this advent calendar download whether you like giving gifts or doing activities or a bit of both.  I’ve suggested some fun ways below but I’m sure you’ll find lots more creative uses.  A friend of mine stuck the numbered cards on to boxes and created a beautiful wall display in the shape of a tree.

Here are some ideas how to use this printable advent calendar:

stick the numbered cards on to little boxes with a small gift inside
stick a piece of chocolate behind the numbered cards
write your own activities behind the numbered cards
use the activity cards as they are or pop in an envelope and number the envelopes
tape some twine on to the back of any of the cards and hang them on your tree
pick 12 cards and do 12 days of Christmas activities (if 24 is too much)
use a mix of numbered and activity cards so you can alternate a gift one day and an activity the next
stick numbered and activity cards together and lay with the numbered side on top so the activity is a surprise till the day
stick or clip the numbered cards on to an envelope/paper packet with a little gift inside

These are some ideas but you can get as creative as you want and I know you will.  They’re perfect for kids of any age so you can get them for your own kids, grandkids or nieces and nephews.  And once you buy these cards, they’re yours to re-use year after year.
