This year, I’m trying to keep most of my Christmas decorations as natural as possible. If you saw my recent
So with that in mind, I wanted to include dried moss in my gift wrap. You can buy preserved moss for pennies and you can use it in so many ways. You can get coloured versions too but for me the natural dark green version is 100% my preference. So for this simple Christmas gift wrapping idea, I’ve used some moss and pine cones which again are so festive. And I even scented the pine cones – I’ve shared the details below.

Materials:
wrapping paper (any plain colours)
twine (optional)
First, wrap your gift and tie some twine (if using) around it. I did try one without twine but it didn’t look quite as complete – just my opinion. Take a small piece of moss and hot glue it in to one of the lower most ridges in your pine cone. Find the flattest part of the base of the pine cone. Add some hot glue and stick on to your gift. Simple!
For the pine cones, I scented them first. I had bagged them up with a few drops of lavender essential oil for a few days. They came out smelling divine. You don’t often get gifts that smell great but why not!
So that’s how I’m wrapping my Christmas gifts this year. I will add that these gifts were very hard to photograph for some reason. So they look even better in real life than in the pics. Both Anya and Richard were like ‘wow these gifts look so great’. So give it a try and you’ll see for yourself.
