I have been bursting at the seams (pun intended) to share my newest pattern, the mini pocket critters! My pocket kitty has been so popular with readers, my kids, and Pinterest and the idea was sparked to shrink it down as an Easter egg filler. I had so much fun sewing the mini kitty, I designed a whole crew of animal friends. My kids love playing with these little animals, and they use up the tiniest of felt scraps.

I use Fabri-Solvy™ throughout the pattern; it makes stitching and cutting super simple. If you’ve never worked with it before, you can see more pictures on the process in this blog post about the easiest way to transfer an embroidery pattern. I had two testers use plain old freezer paper as well.
All of my testers remarked that they were surprised at just how small they were, so here is a photo for scale! They’re teeny tiny. Please exercise caution if you’re playing with these around kids who still put things in their mouth, they are geared at preschoolers and up (wouldn’t they make a cute pin for an adult!).
