Lovely and easy to do new Crochet Lace Motifs

Sometimes it’s fun to discover the great power that a thread ball and a humble hook have. I’m always wonder to see how these small crochet lace motifs grow out of my hands as if by magic. These new ones look so shabby-chic too, don’t you think? :o)

A veces me resulta divertido descubrir el poder que tienen un humilde ovillo de hilo y una aguja. Me sorprende ver como van apareciendo estos pequeños motivos de ganchillo como por arte de magia. Y los que acabo de terminar tienen un aire muy shabby-chic, ¿no os parece? :o)

Lovely and easy to do new Crochet Lace Motifs

I often crochet small crochet motifs and doilies like them simply because it’s fun and relaxes me. It’s my therapy to disconnect from everything, and it really works! : o) And only then I think about how I’d like to use them, whether as coasters, decorative motifs or appliqués … It doesn’t matter too much, they always end up finding their own destination.

Suelo hacer estos pequeños motivos de ganchillo simplemente porque me divierte y me relaja. Es mi terapia para desconectar de todo, ¡y funciona! :o) Sólo después de hechos es cuando pienso de qué manera puedo usarlos, ya sea como posavasos, motivos decorativos o apliques… No importa demasiado, siempre terminan encontrando su destino.

Crochet Motif 5 / 2017

Measure of two first crochet motifs: 12 cm diameter aprox.

(7 rounds).

Los dos primeros motivos miden 12 cm de diámetro aprox.

(7 vueltas).

And the two seconds motifs measure 8 cm diameter aprox.

(only 5 rounds)

Y los dos segundos miden 8 cm de diámetro aprox.

(sólo 5 vueltas)

Material was wandering around my home: Mercerized cotton thread nr 12 and hook 1.25 mm.

El material andaba ya por casa: hilo de algodón mercerizado nº 12 y aguja 1,25mm

They are very easy to make and colors can be combined in different ways of your choice. Here I have used two shades of pink, violet and beige.

Son muy sencillitos de hacer y los colores pueden combinarse de diversas maneras. Aquí he usado dos tonos de rosa, violeta y beige.
