Emerging from a long weekend here to mark Queen’s Birthday, it also coincided with the start of winter. This resulted in a recurring theme of rugging up warm, spending time outdoors with the kids, then retreating inside to cosy comforts and yummy food. Having an open plan kitchen, dining and living lends itself well to this kind of routine, and I think this home that I’m sharing today certainly has the right layout, with an appealing light and airy Nordic style.

An interesting collection of artworks and nice scattering of house plants give the spaces a homely vibe. I particularly like the look of the corner below, where I’d enjoy sitting with a good book and hot drink.

The muted, earthy accents continue in bedroom with cosy layers of linen.
