For the 2025 edition of 3 Days of Design, British designer Lee Broom presented his new exhibition From Here Now at Asia House in Copenhagen. It was the first time this historic building opened its doors during the festival, a great option to view an historic building while exploring the Amerikakaj district. I love how 3 days of design divided the city in 8 new Design Districts, although they each had a different focus on topics inspired by the 2025 theme ‘Keep it real’, I thought the districts were a good start for my own list and the exhibitions I wanted to see.

An explorer’s abandoned home

Spanning the entire house, the exhibition was conceived as an immersive experience, taking visitors on a journey through a fictional explorer’s abandoned home. Each room was curated with objects, artefacts, and artworks. It was a journey of discovery through Lee Broom’s lighting illuminating objects and artefacts collected from across the globe. The different lamps were presented in crates, as a nod to the shipping history of the building.

Chant table lamp

Illuminated by over 70 lighting pieces from the Lee Broom collection, including several new designs and the global debut of the new portable table lamp ‘Chant’. The setting brought together references from different eras and atmospheres, reflecting the designer’s ongoing exploration of materiality, craftsmanship, and innovation. The combination of sculptural pieces, moody lighting, and layered details gave the impression of a space caught between time and memory.
