I love mending. There is something so soothing about working with your hands to fix something, and in most cases, make it more beautiful or fun! I’ve shared a few kid’s mending tutorials over the past year but now I’m bundling them and adding some exclusive content in “Make It Last: tutorials for mending holes + stains: kid’s clothes edition”, a PDF e-book you can find in my shop!
This e-book is designed with beginners in mind, with full photo tutorials for each method and patch.
FOR ONE WEEK ONLY, my e-book is included in a larger creative bundle, click through to learn more!
There are lots of great products and patterns included, but here are the ones that *I* would be most excited about:
- Bag making for beginners from Vicky Myers: this is a super comprehensive book with general tips you could use on any bag project and a bunch of tested bag patterns from big totes to purses to zipper pouches.
- Improv quilt course from petalplum: Her instagram is dreamy and this course sounds really intriguing, especially if you haven’t done improv quilting or any type of quilting before but want to start.
- Exploring your world stitch club by Mollie Johanson: I love her cute, happy kawaii designs and this is full of embroidery designs along with a tutorial for turning them all into an EPP quilt!
- Embroidery basics by Dana Batho: This is a great video class + pattern if you’ve been meaning to trying hand embroidery but need a shove to get started.
- Starry sampler quilt patterns by Alyce Blyth: Really pretty, modern star patterns that would be fun to sew, I love her designs at Blossom Heart Quilts.
- Serger basics course from Emily Thompson: I watched this whole thing and it is great, including getting started, trouble shooting, and some fancy features that I’ve never tried before. Perfect for new & experience serger users!
- And of course, MY E-BOOK! With a mix of mending tutorials you’ve seen and at least 7 e-book exclusive patterns, my goal is to get you excited about mending kids clothes!!
