With only two weeks ahead to Milan Design Week and the actual Salone, I have been busy last week making some sort of a planning. No need to tell you it is a real puzzle as there is so much to see. One of the things I am really looking forward to is the debut of Kelly Wearstler and her collection in collaboration with H&M HOME.

H&M HOME will present an installation marking the brand’s first participation in Milan Design Week and introduce the collaboration with American interior designer Kelly Wearstler, offering a first look at selected objects and furniture from the upcoming Kelly Wearstler x H&M HOME collection.

The installation at Palazzo Acerbi

Behind the facade of Palazzo Acerbi, a 17th century Baroque palace that has long been closed to the public, lies architectural grandeur, with towering columns and opulent frescoes that form a striking contrast with the contemporary aesthetic of the collection. I always consider it a privilege to visit such beautiful places during Milan Design Week.

An installation produced by Studio Boum

Produced by Studio Boum, the installation unfolds through a series of rooms. Built around the ideas of daily rituals and modular synergy, the scenography explores how furniture and objects interact with the surrounding architecture. The collection will include 29 pieces in total, with 13 key designs from the Kelly Wearstler H&M HOME upcoming collection. Materials used throughout the range include textiles, wood, metal, ceramics and marble.

Among the pieces on show are a modular chair that can transform into a sofa, lighting with a caged design, and decorative objects such as a trompe-l’oeil vase. The collaboration also introduces larger furniture pieces within a designer partnership for the first time for H&M HOME, alongside a series of design objects and accessories.

Having a presence at Milan Design Week has long been a dream, and with Kelly, we knew the moent was right,” says Evelina Kravaev-Söderberg, Head of Design & Creative at H&M HOME. “H&M HOME has a global presence, but with this milestone we want to make an impact on customers and the design industry alike in a new way. When we discovered Palazzo Acerbi everything fell into place.”

For Kelly Wearstler this is also her Milan Design Week debut, and H&M HOME is the perfect partner, she says. “Their global presence and genius for storytelling align perfectly with my vision. Bringing this collection to life in Milan and showing people how the pieces come alive in a real space,  that’s what excites me” I personally really love Kelly’s designs and I can’t wait to see the pieces in real life, and ofcourse lay my hands on some as soon as they will be available!

The Kelly Wearstler H&M HOME collection will launch on 3 September 2026, available in selected stores and online at hm.com/home, and will be sold in around 40 countries. Visit the installation at Palazzo Acerbi, Corso di Porta Romana 3, Open to the public from 21 to 26 April, daily from 9:00 to 18:00 during Milan Design Week.
