How to plant hyacinth?
The propagation of hyacinth is mainly done by bulbs, as it enters flowering more rapidly than seed planting. So plant the bulb at a depth of about 8-12 cm in the soil, making sure that the bulb’s nose is upward. We place the hyacinth bulbs at distances between 15-20 cm for planting so that we can grow and flower better. Hyacinth grows best in sunny places, protected from strong winds.
What watering, fertilizing and other care does the hyacinth want?
Hyacinth has significant water requirements and will need frequent watering to give us it’s rich flowering. Of course, until the bulb grows and the root system develops, we should water less to prevent it from rotting. On fertilization, we add liquid fertilizer for flowering plants as soon as the plant begins to bloom and we resume fertilization after two weeks. To protect the hyacinth from the insect and the thistle we spray it weekly with a green soap solution made by dissolving 20 grams of crushed green soap and 5ml of alcohol in 1 liter of water.

How do we maintain the hyacinth bulbs for next year?
To maintain the hyacinth bulbs next year, follow the procedure below: In the spring, when flowering is over and when the foliage begins to dry, we stop watering. Gradually remove the hyacinth bulbs from the soil to clean them. Then we place them in a shady place to dry well and store them in a dry, moisture-free place in small or larger cartons, which have small holes for better ventilation.

Hyacinth can bloom and grow in the water too… To achieve this, we supply a special jar with a narrow mouth and place the hyacinth bulb at the top in such a way that it is a breath away from the water of the jar. Gradually, the bulb develops roots that penetrate the water and gradually develops the flowering flower of the hyacinth that gives us its wonderful aromatic flower. For even more impressive results, we can add decorative pebbles or pebbles where the roots grow to watch them grow in between.
