Marisa Lafiosca has had a lifelong passion for design.

The daughter of a buyer for Saks Fifth Avenue, she grew up captivated by the world of fashion and early on developed a sensibility for style and color.

After graduating from FIT, she worked at top fashion companies but it was her position at Ferragamo—and frequent trips to Florence—that exposed her to fine European fabrics and design.

Several years and two children later, Marisa found herself in a large, empty Tudor in the suburbs that was the blank canvas for her first design project.

Her success in transforming the home led her to formally study interior design and apprentice for a local designer before launching ML Interior Designs.

Working throughout the New York metropolitan area, Marisa draws upon her fashion background to translate her clients’ needs into interiors that are a perfect fit.

Her intuitive sense of color and textiles creates an earthy elegance that defines her work.

Combining the classic and contemporary, fine antiques and flea market treasures, she crafts warm, inviting spaces to be lived in, not simply admired.
