This small Scandinavian studio home is bursting with style. Decorated in monochromes with lots of warm touches, what this home lacks in space is more than made up in the beautiful decor.
This Scandi studio apartment measures just 400 sq ft (38 sqm) so it is pretty small but the monochrome decor and the attention to detail makes this space come together so beautifully. Often a monochrome colour scheme can look cold but not here. There is so much warmth added in through the use of different textures and warm wood.
There is so much to love about this living room. Firstly you have the deep green sofa which softens the monochrome look as well as lots of wooden touches. The shaggy carpet brings the space together and makes it all look so cozy. You’ve also got the two decor elements which are a must in Scandi decor – lots of texture and feature lights throughout. The gallery wall looks great and I love the addition of the painting on the floor. Even though this living room in small, it doesn’t look cramped or cluttered in any way.
At the other end of the living room is the bed area. It’s just big enough for a bed and not much more. Yet it looks so cozy and inviting thanks to the fabric hanging from the ceiling. How dreamy is that? They’ve continued with the monochrome colour scheme with just the tiniest accents of colour. And once again there is a feature light which is both practical and looks great too.
The kitchen in this Scandi studio apartment is bold and black! The black has been balanced with a lot of white and once again wooden accents. I’m loving the white textured wall next to the dining table. I also love the hints of blush/nude that have been incorporated in to the monochrome kitchen. The black floors are softened with a large rug so you only see a little of the black flooring. I love the idea of a rug in a kitchen but I always wonder how people keep it clean! The art in the kitchen looks great – I wonder why more of us don’t add art to our kitchens.
There is so much to love about this studio home. The decor is so stylish and warm. Each space has been decorated with both practicality and aesthetics in mind – something that the Scandinavians do effortlessly well.
