Have you ever made your Christmas gifts? As you can imagine, I have in the past. Most years it’s been something really nice and festive to do but I do remember with a real lack of fondness, the year I was far, far too ambitious! I even roped Nick in and the poor boy spent an entire day cutting the pages I had designed for my tear notepads. Then the frosted glass spray paint didn’t work for the personalised bottles I’d dreamt up, peeling off as it dried and I had to come up with a different idea on the fly to rectify this disaster. See, even DIY bloggers have fails sometimes and needless to say the whole day wasn’t the most enjoyable.
I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s best to keep things simple…don’t get over ambitious and instead just concentrate on doing a few easy projects really well. I’ve pulled together some ideas that won’t over complicate matters and yet they’re all still gifts that I’m sure your family and friends would love to receive. There’s something extra special about receiving a handmade gift, that is unless it’s a weird knitted scarf from your Nan. Happy making folks…not long now!
