I first got introduced to ANOUR about ten years ago, when looking into my archive I notice a first article about them from 2016 about the Divar lamp. Four years later when my new kitchen took shape I added the Divar lamp to the wall above my countertop. And I still think it was one of the best additions ever, have a look here: New images from my kitchen & a lamp made by ANOUR  I still love this black kitchen wall and I might return to this all dark kitchen nook.

When in Copenhagen I always walk into the ANOUR showroom to see their new collections and the DONYA Downlight really caught my eye because of the beautiful onyx used! DONYA means “the world”. and what began as a single lighting object has grown into a family of lights. The DONYA table lamp was one of the first lamps had from ANOUR. It has since travelled around my home and is currently sitting on the bench I use as a bedside table. DONYA Downlight is a new addition to the DONYA family

DONYA Downlight

Each DONYA Downlight is crafted from metal and finished by hand, continuing the craftsmanship and material language of the wider collection. The light is integrated into the architecture, while the use of onyx adds warmth and depth. As ANOUR describes it, light does not simply pass through the onyx; it becomes part of the material itself. The result is a softer, more atmospheric approach to a light source that is usually treated as a purely functional element. Donya Downlight is made to order
