We’re planning to go on a couple of small getaways this summer and I made this DIY Round Leaf Patterned Travel Bag to hold my accessories. I have not use used vinyl in a while and I thought it would be perfect for this project. Are you planning a small trip? Read on to make your own toiletry pouch too!
What You Need – DIY Round Leaf Patterned Travel Bag
- Silhouette Studio (there is a free version!)
- Silhouette cutting machine (I used my CAMEO)
- Green vinyl (I purchased and used the vinyl and tools from this Silhouette Vinyl Starter Kit). Another option is to just buy the vinyl on its own…my last post has a great deal that ends September 15th!
- Travel Bag
- Solid leaf pattern – use any pattern (I used this one)

Instructions – DIY Round Leaf Patterned Travel Bag
- Open your pattern with Silhouette Studio
- Create a circle the same size as the top of your round travel bag
- Crop the pattern using your circle
- Use the Trace function to trace the pattern
- Clean up any stray points using the point-editing tool (double click the image and you will see all the points)
- Load your vinyl onto your Silhouette cutting machine and send your image to cut using vinyl settings
- Once cut, unload and peel away the negative space of your shape, so that the pattern is left (the starter kits comes with a hook that is very helpful)
- Use the transfer paper that comes with the kit to transfer your vinyl to your travel bag
All you need to do now is load your cute pouch up with cute accessories and jet away to paradise! Let me know how it turned out!
