By far the exhibition I was looking most forward to and one of my favourites spots during Milan Design week. Not only because it would give me the chance to the new collection of Belgian designer Arno de Clerq, it would also be an opportunity to meet the people behind Galerie Philia ánd get to see the first collectible design collection of Studiopepe in collaboration with the Galerie. Not to mention all other participants at Baranzate Ateliers
Slightly outside the city centre Zaventem Ateliers and friends, took over a remarkable place of the historical industrial heritage of the city of Milan, the former Necchi factory to present Zaventem’s philosophy, atmosphere and designers. It required a lot of patience, negotiations and unexpected obstacles to get the immense former factory ready for use for one of Milan Design Week’s gems. A place reminiscent of the good old days in Lambrate where the raw remains of a factory and contemporary design come together
For its second participation to the Milan Design Week, Zaventem Ateliers, together with its friends “Galerie Philia”, “Everyday Gallery”, “Modern Shapes”, “Ben Storms”, “Atelier Serruys”, “Mircea Anghel” and “Bela Silva” highlighted the Baranzate district, which has been absent for the Fuori Salone until now.
I love to show you some favourites on the blog as seen at Baranzate but as I made way to many pictures and my blog is my own photo book, I will only show Arno de Clerq today…. stay tuned for more this week.

With his dark and pieces of furniture and sculptural objects, the work of Arno de Clerq could not be missed at Baranzate and I loved wandering around to see all the pieces I love, including some new additions I had not seen before!
