I really wanted to talk to you about this flower because it’s part of a crochet project that is already going ahead and that makes me very happy because I’m making it together with my mother. We are making a new tablecloth for the terrace table for next summer, using a piece of fabric that was wandering my craft room longing for a destination. My mother is crocheting a lace border for the tablecloth and I’m making these flowers that will be applied to it.
Tenía muchas ganas de hablaros de esta flor porque forma parte de un proyecto que ya está en marcha y que me hace mucha ilusión porque lo estoy tejiendo junto mi madre. Estamos haciendo un nuevo mantel para la mesa de la terraza de cara al próximo verano, usando un retal de tela que estaba dando vueltas por mi casa clamando por llegar a ser algo. Mi madre está tejiendo la puntilla para el mantel y yo estoy haciendo estas flores que irán aplicadas sobre la tela.
I hope to show you the finished tablecloth soon here. But for now I tell you how to make this tiny flower which is very easy to crochet: only 2 rounds and 5 petals.
Espero mostraros el mantel terminado pronto. De momento os cómo hacer esta pequeña flor de tan sólo 2 vueltas y 5 pétalos, muy fácil de tejer.

– Hook: 1.25mm
– Yarn used here: Fine mercerized cotton thread Anchor Freccia nr. 8.
Color A: 07901 White
Color B: 00130 Blue

WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS:
Round 1: Begin with a adjustable ring with Color A. Ch 1 and make 10 sc in the ring. Adjust the ring and make 1 ss in first st to close the rnd. Cut the thread. Total: 10 sc
Change to thread Color B.
Round 2: Insert the hook through any stitch of the previous rnd to take a loop and bring it to the front. Make 1 ss + ch 3 + 1 tr in same stich; 1 tr + ch 3 + 1 ss in next st. *Make 1 ss + ch 3 + 1 tr in next stich; 1 tr + ch 3 + 1 ss in next st*. Rep ** around to get 5 petals.
Cut the thread and weave all ends.

Hacer 1pe + 3 cads + 1 pad en el mismo pto; 1 pad + 3 cads + 1 pe en el sgte pto. * Hacer 1 pe + 3 cads + 1 pad en el sgte pto; 1 pad + 3 cads + 1 pe en el sgte pto *. Rep ** alrededor de la vta para obtener 5 pétalos.
Cortar el hilo y rematar todos los extremos.
