Calm Amongst the Chaos

I’m kicking off the week a little late on the blog due to styling work and general Christmas craziness. It’s that time of year when we all go into overdrive and while I’m getting better at managing the workload, I still get caught out. I really don’t like missing a day on the blog but I’ve also learnt that sleep is important! As is exercise, so an after-dinner walk and round of basketball with my family was in order after a long day’s work yesterday, and I know that’s what will keep me from crashing and burning. There’s also been a huge amount of noise of the web these last few days with Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, so stumbling across this home was a breath of fresh air. Calm and elegant with a muted grey palette and enviable collection of furniture and lighting, the styling is faultless.

The arched doorway is beautiful feature of this home, and while I do tend to favour kitchen islands, this is definitely the right way of incorporating a kitchen table. A wonderful place to gather as a family at mealtimes, the iconic Fredericia J39 Chairs by Børge Morgenson are perfection.

The sense of calm carries through to the the gorgeous kids room which features sweet details on a String shelf and desk, while the master bedroom is simple yet sophisticated with a natural linen headboard and built in bedside storage cubes.
