Arno de Clercq AD5/19 | Milan design week preview

Really happy to give you sneak preview of the 5th collection of Arno de Clercq that will be launched during Milan Design week, thé most exciting design event of the year taking place from April 08-14 2019. I visit the event for many years now and beside feeling at home as soon as we land it is my my favourite design event of the year. It is here where I discover new talents and where established brands present their collections in a different way.

Last year we could see his work on the actual Salone del del Mobile, selected by Vincent van Duysen for the stand of Molteni. This year Arno will exhibit and present his work at Via S. Maurilio 14, 20123 Milan during design week. I can’t wait to see the universe he will create.
Arno de Clercq creates unique pieces made of tropical hardwood called Iroko which he discovered after a trip to West Africa combined with Belgian Oak and treated with a Japanese technique where the objects are burned to protect the wood from weathering and subsequently fixed to get a patina look as long as possible. Pictures of the new collection are made by Stan Guldemont
