Åkerlund Villa | An Incredible Seaside Transformation

A historical seaside mansion is currently being given a new lease of life with breathtaking interior design by Lotta Agaton Interiors. Located in Dalarö, a popular summer spot for Stockholmers, Åkerlund villa is being transformed into nine exclusive apartments designed by architects Ruxandra Halleröd from Christian Halleröd Design and Helene Amundsen. Together with interior designer Lotta Agaton, they were commissioned by Swedish building company BTH Bostad, and as these images show, the collaboration has been remarkable. The light-filled spaces retain a sense of grandeur while showcasing a calm, refined elegance. The preservation of original elements together with carefully curated furniture, lighting, art and objects has created a beautiful fusion between old and new.
