This architect designed villa is located on the idyllic Swedish island of Brännö and features a distinctively Scandinavian style with wood, soft colours and clean lines. Designed in an L-formation, to protect the tranquil garden from both wind and visibility, it has light-filled, open plan living spaces and a guest cottage.

I’ve always had a soft spot for dark green, and I think this colour choice for a kitchen is gorgeous! Paired with simple plywood and a composite worktop, it ties in beautifully with the home’s natural surroundings.

Neutral furnishings and rattan furniture in the living room give the home a relaxed, beach feel. There are also lots of clever built-in elements like the staircase shelving – the perfect place to store firewood!

The peaceful colour scheme continues in the bedrooms with soft shades of pink and blue.

A glimpse of the sunlit cottage below, the all-plywood interior gives the space a real holiday vibe. There’s even a yoga studio and tennis courts! See the full house tour here.
