A First-of-its-Kind Collaboration: Herman Miller x HAY
The first of its kind; Herman Miller debut their latest collection with Danish design house HAY, featuring eight classic Eames designs reimagined through an expressive new palette.
Collaborating with Herman Miller, known for their creative partnerships and archive of Eames designs, had been a dream of Rold and Mette Hay since establishing their company HAY in 2002. Their new collection sees eight of Ray and Charles Eames’ most recognisable pieces reimagined through seven spirited colourways and conscious materials, aligning with HAY’s 20-year-long penchant for bright, eye-catching colours.
Herman Miller x HAY marks a move toward product redesign as a more sustainable alternative to product design. The collection’s tables and wire chairs have been graded for outdoor use, while the Eames Molded Plastic Shell chairs now contain 100 per cent post-industrial recycled plastic.
