Designed by Modektura Studio and photographed by Yevhenii Avramenko, this 83 sq.m apartment on Bohdana Khmelnytskoho Street in Kyiv, within a 1900s classical architecture building with high ceilings, blends classical elements with mid-century design pieces from the 1930s to the 1970s. Despite the challenges of a large-scale invasion and frequent power disruptions during construction, the team succeeded in creating a nostalgic retro ambiance with vintage Cassina chairs, Louis Poulsen, Flos, and Vibia lighting, and furniture from Porro and B&B Italia. Materials like toned oak, marble, stainless steel, and brass, along with experimental sand in terrazzo flooring and marble chips in mineral plaster, cultivate a sense of stability and tranquility.
