It’s always safe to go for a kitchen in a neutral color and I feel like white and grey are very often picked for exactly this reason. A green cabinet front color however looks so interesting and characterful, yet is still calming and a relativeley safe color to opt for. Here are 6 amazing examples of kitchens with a beautiful touch of green combined with different materials: each one more beautiful than the other. The first one above (via Alvhem) features dark olive cabinet fronts in combination with brass handles, a brass faucet, and an oak countertop for a saturated look. The combination with the white tiles on the wall as a splashback however makes this kitchen look balanced and fresh.
The second kitchen by Nordiska Kök has a wonderful combination of deep green cabinet fronts with chrome handles and faucet combined with a natural grey stone countertop that makes the effect of the green even more dramatic. The subtle beige color on the wall makes the white upper cabinets stand out even better and I love the way the lighter palette on the top balances out the deep green of the bottom cabinets.
The 3rd kitchen has cabinet fronts in a more muted and lighter shade of green, which has a more subtle and neutral effect on the space. The crisp white marble countertop and the chrome details in both the faucet and the handles brighten up this look and I love the subtle shade of beige on the wall. No upper cabinets in this kitchen, instead a single open shelf to display pretty ceramics combined with a large module of storage on the other side which has been painted in a lighter shade of muted green so it doesn’t look too heavy. Kitchen number 4 (via Entrance Makleri) is the main component of a small studio home and it makes the entire space special. The deep green custom-made shaker fronts combined with a beige natural stone countertop are built perfectly into this small corner of the studio holding lots of storage space, yet without looking heavy, which is a challenging goal to achieve.
The 5th kitchen in the list (also by Nordiska Kök) is very similar to kitchen no. 2 in my list, yet I like it so much as well that I just had to include it here. Just like in the second kitchen, the green cabinet fronts are combined with chrome details and a grey natural stone countertop, yet it’s the simplicity of it all that really draws the attention. Rather than upper cabinets, this kitchen has a subtle artwork that contrasts perfectly with the dramatic vibe of the kitchen itself.
The last kitchen in the list (styled by Linnéa H. Manaberi, photographed by Anders Bergstedt for Alvhem) features a muted green that combines so nicely with the dark wood countertop, yet contrasts perfectly with the white tiles, white sink, white dining table and chairs, and the white open shelving on the wall. The addition of the green plants enhances the green color even more.
