I live in quite a small apartment myself (not a studio, yet I always have to pick and choose very carefully which furniture pieces I select), so I always find it most inspiring to find great examples of stylish studio homes. It makes me confident that you don’t need to live in a big, expensive apartment to be able to express yourself and live in a home that’s decorated to your style and taste. This studio apartment in Sweden has a black steel and glass partition separating the bedroom from the sofa area, which fits the bed exactly and is closed on the side by subtle white linen curtains. The living space is decorated in a light palette with peach accents and by the wall opposed to the bed, there is even space for a small home office area, such a must-have for so many of us these days as well.

I love the warm color palette of this studio space, which has been decorated with a combination of natural materials, tints of yellow, and beige. I love the way the open bookshelf by the bed has been decorated in a subtle yet elegant way, combining wonderfully with the area of the bed and the sofa area, which both feature soft tints of yellow for a vibrant, yet calm look.

This beautiful studio home has darker grey walls, which makes it a little bit more on the dramatic side, yet the tints of peach, beige and terracotta soften it out in a nice way. The large antique mirror by the bed reflects the space and the light coming from the window, which is a great trick to make a small space look bigger. The round dining table in between the kitchen and the living area works so nicely with the white bentwood chairs, the chequered table cloth, and the pop of light blue in the art print.

I’m a bit in doubt whether this apartment would categorize as a studio, but it’s a rather small space anyways, so I included it in the list. The small living room includes a dining table as well and is separate from the kitchen, which is one room with the bedroom. The kitchen itself functions as a separator between the two rooms and when you walk behind the kitchen cabinets, you find a small, yet super cozy and light-flooded bedroom.

The layout of the last studio home is a little awkward, but that’s also what I like about it in a way. It must have been such a challenge to make this apartment work, yet it looks so natural and balanced. The bedroom has rounded walls, which come back on the other side in the dining area. Both the kitchen and the walk-in closet have been fitted on the straight walls, while the bed and dining table can float freely in the curvy section: such a wonderful solution.
