Anyone else loving a minimalist typography print? I admit I am a huge fan as I just can’t get enough of the simplicity and straightforwardness of a good typeface hung on the wall. That being said, I have created a new series on my Etsy store with modern minimalistic posters featuring large scale sans serif numbers on a beige background.
There are numerous ways (pun intended 😉 to decorate with a Number print, like hanging it solo or as a part of a gallery wall, or use two or more of them to create a special number for you. But, there are also some more fun and unconventional ways to hang a Number print on the wall that are budget friendly as well as quick and easy to make at the same time.
So, in this post, I’d like to share a few ideas on how you can decorate with only one number that you will buy once* and print as many times as necessary. This means that with the purchase of one single print you can create a cool statement wall with one or more framed prints that looks both sophisticated and fun.
Hung it horizontally.
Not a usual way to display a number, but when seen in a different orientation, it mostly resembles a graphic shape than a typical digit. Favorites for this style are numbers 0 and 8 (which resembles the infinity symbol which I loooove!)
Use the same number in different sizes.
The most obvious of placements, yet it adds a playfulness in a very simple kind of way. Possibilities are endless in this case, obviously 😀
Use the same number in different orientations.
You can hang horizontally and vertically or even turn upside down. Again, prints can be of the same size or different ones.
Use the same number multiple times in the same size.
Repetition adds character and interest and transforms the print from a simple Number print to a symbolic one. Here is shown number 4 in a triptych but I could also imagine a 9 or 12 frames grid gallery wall consisting of only one number printed in a small size.
* As always, my prints are digital files that you can download right after purchase is made and print at any size you wish, in your home printer or at a local copy shop.
