Le Klint is a lighting company with a story dating back to the early 20^th century. The heritage brand is internationally known for its craftsmanship and intricate techniques of fusing materials such as paper, lampshade foil, acrylic, wood, glass and metal. During Copenhagen’s recent 3daysofdesign, Le Klint presented their most recent addition to their collection – Lamp Plivello – showcased for the very first time at their flagship store and showroom in Odense, Copenhagen.

Lamp Plivello was part of a collaboration with innovative Danish designer Christian Troels, who spoke at the opening event. The designer spoke of his inspiration for this modern lamp which came from traditional multi-tiered chandeliers. The name Plivello is a fusion of the Italian word ‘levello’, which means level and the French word “pli”, which means fold. In conjunction with the launch, visitors to the showroom during 3daysofdesign were given the opportunity to watch one of Le Klint’s master pleating technicians in action.
