3daysofdesign 2022 | Fritz Hansen Celebrates 150 Years of Design
Fritz Hansen marked their 150th-anniversary milestone with an exclusive exhibition in Copenhagen during 3daysofdesign.
Founded in Copenhagen in 1872, Fritz Hansen is known for collaborating with visionary designers such as Arne Jacobsen, Hans J. Wegner and modern-day talents including Cecilie Manz and Jaime Hayon. This year marks 150 years of design and to celebrate Fritz Hansen unveiled an exclusive exhibition for 3daysofdesign.
Joining forces with renowned architect Henning Larsen, Fritz Hansen built the winner of this year’s Best Exhibition Award; the Fritz Hansen Pavilion residing in the yard of Designmuseum Denmark’s historic building. Its inspiring form has been founded on the sustainable principles of circular design thinking. After 3daysofdesign Designmuseum Denmark will use the unique space as a platform for workshops, school lectures and talks throughout the summer. After which, all materials used in building the Pavilion will be recycled and used for the reconstruction of the Fritz Hansen headquarters.
For the very first time during the 3daysofdesign festival, Fritz Hansen also unveiled its Anniversary Collection alongside the PK0 A chair and PK60 coffee table by renowned designer Poul Kjærholm.
