I took my time to make a video to answer the most asked question:

DOES WATERCOLOR WORK ON CANVAS?

and the answer is YES. It does work. Watch the video to see how watercolor behaves on a store-bought canvas and a diy canvas. I also demonstrated using a store-bought gesso and a diy gesso, and sanded vs unsanded primed canvas.

Other answers to your questions:
-I make my own stretched canvas
-I make my own gesso. I found the recipe here on Youtube. Go find some yourself.
-I use Reeves Gesso with my commission paintings
-I buy my raw canvas at Deovir SM Megamall
-I apply 2 coats of gesso and then I sand it with sandpaper. I don’t know the grit. Just go easy with it.
