Shabby decoration for Christmas, 3 crochet doilies in 1 pattern
Shabby-chic inspiration decor at home this season once again. I’ve enjoyed planning and making these little crochet doilies and motifs so much, dainty and nice Christmas accents which are really inexpensive and quick to make. He disfrutado mucho con la planificación de todo ello y son realmente muy económicos y rápidos de hacer.
Actually it’s a unique pattern from which have come out three variations: large, mediun and small. And their story is long. Well, I crocheted the large motifs several months ago, but I completely forgot them, as I often do.
En realidad se trata de un único patrón del que han terminado saliendo tres variaciones: grande, mediana y pequeña. La historia viene de largo. Veréis, hice los motivos grandes hace ya bastantes meses y, como me ocurre con frecuencia, me olvidé de ellos completamente.
Some time later, while I was ordering my works, I found them again and I thought I could take another twist to this idea.
Tiempo después, mientras ordenaba mis trabajos, volví a encontrarlos y pensé que podría darle una vuelta más a esta idea.
So the medium motif arose…
Así terminaron apareciendo el motivo mediano…
… and also the small one.
But I left this project once again!

It wasn’t until just a few weeks ago that I paid them my attention again, when I thought I could use them to create the decoration for our Christmas table, our gifts, etc… Since then I’ve been crocheting at full speed to finish everything in time.

No fue hasta hace sólo unas semanas en que pensé que podría utilizarlos para preparar la decoración de nuestra mesa de Navidad, los regalos, etc… que volví a prestarles atención y estos últimos días he estado tejiendo a toda velocidad para que todo salga a tiempo.
Lo cierto es que han dado mucho juego, permiten tantas opciones como dé de sí la imaginación. Los tapetes grandes pueden ser usados como porta-velas…

…but they would also look very cool as coasters under the glass cups.
…pero también se verían muy chulos como posavasos bajo la cristalería.
And the small motif is perfect for making pendants for the Tree, a garland for the fireplace or as a nice detail when wrapping the Christmas gifts!
Y el motivo pequeño es perfecto para hacer colgantes para el Árbol, una guirnalda para la chimenea o para decorar los regalos!

There was a small dilemma at home about the color combination to choose between violet-white or coral-gold. We solved it by voting and the winner was the coral-gold one. Well, I hope that the violet-white combination may also have their chance in the future. Which one would you have chosen?

Hubo un pequeño dilema añadido en casa sobre la combinación de colores a elegir: violeta y blanco o dorado y coral. Lo resolvimos por votación y resultó ganadora la combinación dorado y coral.
