I don’t know about your part of the world, but here we are literally melting from the heat! Even our one week escapade to Ohrid did not help.
We’ve been trying to alleviate the abnormal temperatures with lots of water and natural juices, and this watermelon & lemon juice has been a real saviour.
To make the juice you need 2 kilos of watermelon, 4 lemons and basil leaves.
Watermelon is extremely beneficial. This is an amazing fruit that has 92% water, so it keeps you hydrated. It is rich in vitamins and minerals: Vitamins C, A, B1,B5 and B6, Potassium and Magnesium.
Watermelon is also high in antioxidants: carotenoids, including beta-carotene and lycopene. Plus, it has citrulline, an important amino acid.
It is good for the heart, muscles, hair and skin.
