Earlier this year in Milan I visited “Still Wood” a presentation by Hommés Studio and Tapis Studio. The image above I spotted on Instagram announced the presentation of the work of the studios. It was a design concept made with AI and I must say it looked so promising. I added the exhibition to my Milan design week schedule.
What I found was a celebration of marquetry and craftsmanship. At Villa Mansoni meticulously crafted scenes depicting everyday life were showcased. Looking at the different shapes and designs of the two studios I could see where the inspiration of that image I spotted came from. It was different than I expected but still something new for me and I love to give you a glimpse of their world and products.
