Sage green is a timeless hue that gently brings in a hint of the outdoors. It is a colour that looks at home in any sized living space, from large and luxurious to succinctly compact. This versatile shade can be used to colour sophisticated spaces that have a hint of tradition or equally to imbue fresh modern vibes. In this collection of five inspirational home interiors, we look at how a cohesive colour palette of sage green can achieve a calming flow throughout modern residences. We’ll see how the shade works just as well in bathrooms and bedrooms as it does in main living areas, and how to achieve the right balance with white and wood tone elements.

Entering the living room of our first sage green home interior, we’re met with a unique, colour perforated feature wall design. The spots of colour complement a sage green small sofa down in front.

A small racetrack coffee table drops a weighty black note into the centre of the sage green and white lounge scheme, which helps to balance out the black wall mounted TV screen.

The legs of the dining table flaunt a stark black finish too, carrying the dark accent all the way through the open plan living space. A modern dining pendant light adds another touch of black above.

Two white dining chairs lightly balance a pair of sage green counterparts. A green and white kitchen installation continues the colour contrast.

A green upholstered bed dominates the master bedroom design, stretching out in front of another colour perforated feature wall treatment.

A glass bedroom pendant light descends upon a green-chipped terrazzo bedside unit and a simple white decorative vase. See more inspiration for bedroom pendant lights

In our next home design, the lounge area is almost free from green accents, except for indoor plants and a solitary scatter cushion.

A sage green focal wall is centred in the open plan layout, where it colours the main dining area.

Six on-trend wicker chairs are complemented by two wicker pendants above the wooden dining table. A clear glass vase of greenery makes a fresh table centrepiece.

A column of shelving takes the green accent over to the kitchen, next to a small breakfast bar. A plethora of indoor plants colour a ceiling-mounted shelving unit above the bar.

Wood slatted panels build room dividers and an attractive ceiling runner that marks the hallway of the home.

A set of wood slats are applied to the glazed walls of the home office to increase privacy. Inside the home workspace, a tufted  leather sofa defines a comfortable lounge area, whilst the desk is tucked away at the back. A change in colour palette gives the workspace definition from the rest of the home.

The soothing sage green palette is reintroduced in the master dressing room. A runner rug and modern wall art make a subtle splash, and a matching green stool is teamed with the vanity table.

Heavy black and grey elements are combined with sage green accents in our third home interior, resulting in a moody, sophisticated aesthetic.

A custom-built green shelving unit frames the lounge area, whilst dark wood grain wall panelling defines the dining nook. A modern linear suspension light adds a luxe glimmer of gold.

Hallway storage receives an industrial concrete effect finish, with an inset of warming wood tone.

Wood herringbone flooring flows seamlessly from the living area into the bedroom.

A wood platform bed is matched with a fashionably wood slatted headboard wall.
