While exploring different forms, opacities and luminosities, these nine fibreglass lights share a common material origin. Fibreglass, a type of reinforced plastic woven from fine glass fibres, is favoured by lighting designers as a lightweight yet durable material that can be easily manipulated. When illuminated from within, the material becomes translucent, emitting a soft glow and revealing its unique, fibrous texture.
