The latest project from Nordiska Kök is a serene and elegant kitchen created in collaboration with the interior design studio AO/JN Interiors. Flooded with natural light and featuring curved cabinets in light oak with a soft colour scheme, the kitchen has an airy, sculptural feel that evokes a sense of peace, calm and balance.

Alexandra Ogonowski and Jesper Nyborg, the two founders of the AO/JN Interiors say they paid rigorous attention to the details.  “The result is a home that feels soft and soulful, with spaces that encourage human interaction”.

The kitchen island in white Quartzite has been designed with two levels, creating an interesting silhouette in the site-built space. Combining beauty and function, it serves as both a workspace and hub for social gatherings. The pale parquet floors contribute to the airy feeling of the space which is underpinned by a sense of understated elegance combined with a modern touch.

The tranquil kitchen in this light-filled Stockholm residence connects to an elegant dining space through a generous doorway. Here, richer wood tones are in keeping with the warm and tactile qualities of the kitchen while at the same time creating depth and contrast.

The Monolithic slabs of white quartzite draw the eye towards the kitchen island, which provides a more casual space for dining. Gio Ponti’s 699 Superleggera chair for Cassina, in natural ash, is the perfect choice for this highly functional yet refined kitchen.

The home’s original staircase which ascends in a graceful arc echoes the curved edges of the cabinets in the kitchen.

Floor-to-ceiling cabinets provide concealed storage and ample space for built-in appliances. A section of light oak cabinets also runs the length of the wall where light floods in, enhancing the textural details of the quartzite benchtop and parquet floor.
