The intention behind collaborative Kiwi venture Asili’s production of homeware handmade by artisan groups in Africa is to have a positive impact on the local communities and environment — as well as your décor, of course. They mostly work with reclaimed materials, but their new range is crafted from this gorgeous jacaranda, a fast-growing softwood widely planted in Kenya. This time, they’ve moved into furniture too, with a traditional stool.
